Hi, Welcome To My Blog!

We lose ourselves in books, we find ourselves there too.

God made the horse from the breath of the wind, the beauty of the earth, and the soul of an angel.

Sayings, Quotes, etc.

So I love a lot of saying, phrases, some lines from books, quotes, poems, etc. So every now and then I'm going to put a few that I like on here. Feel free to post some of your favorite things like this (though school appropriate).
I find quite a few through status shuffle on Facebook. I hardly ever go on my Facebook, and only when I'm really extremely bored. And although its kinda weird I then usually go to the status shuffle stuff, because some are really funny and I like looking through them.'
I'm not sure how funny the book quotes will be to you because you generally have to know and understand the characters to get the quote. (and some are not funny, but just there because I liked them) Check out my books page, it may have something about the book that will allow them to make more sense. (they should be hilarious if you read the book and liked the characters, well to me they are  =)   )

P.S. '.......' means I'm skipping some words.

·         My horse's feet are as swift as rolling thunder, she carries me away from my fears,
And when the world threatens to fall asunder, her mane is there to wipe my tears

·         Horses we share our lives with them. We braid our tears into their manes and whisper our hopes into their ears

·         No matter how great the set back was or how severe the fall, don't give up, pick yourself up, brush yourself off, get back in the saddle

- Honesty is always good, except when it’s better to lie. [ -Max from the Maximum Ride Series by James Patterson]

-“Of course not.” Ari spit on the ground. “I’m tracking you ˈcause that’s my job. The back history is helping me enjoy it.” He smirked.
I shot him the bird. (Get it? I shot him the–never mind.) [-Max (you should know that Max is part bird and has wings)]

- Once I realized gnawing on humans wouldn't get me the attention I yearned for, I tried my hand at destruction. Unfortunately, I underestimated the ramifications of flushing the heads of Barbie dolls down a toilet. At first, I enjoyed watching their heads circling the bowl, but instead of riding the circular wave to oblivion, they simply clogged the pipe and the water in the bowl proceeded to rise. In hindsight, I should have told my mom, but she was by the front door hollering that we were going to be late for, you guessed it, church. I guess in my five-year-old mind, I thought maybe the problem would somehow fix itself while we were away. That would be a resounding “hell no.” [-Madison from Miss Me Not by Tiffany King]

- I step to the side of the giant in front of me to read the chalkboard again. At the top is says JOCKEYS and then, to its right, CAPAILL. Someone has has written meat in small letters next to JOCKEYS.     [- Puck from The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater]

-[Puck is remembering when Brian was gasping for air and her Mum went to get him water and she had been promised a cinnamon twist, which sell out fast.] I'm a bit ashamed to recall that I told Brian that if he died and kept me from my cinnamon twist, I'd spit on his grave. I don't know if he remembers it at all, since he'd seemed very focused on breathing through a cup made of his hand. I hope he doesn't, because my character's improved a lot since then. Nowadays, I would've only thought the spitting part instead of saying it to his face.  [- Puck]

- I laugh, which reminds Gratton that I'm there, because he says, "And of course, you don't need Mutt Malvern for competition. You've got your hands full with Puck right here."
I vow to poison Thomas Gratton slowly, later. I want to sink into the seat and disappear. But instead I glare at Sean, daring him to say something.   [- Puck]

- "Race? Me on the mare, you on Dove?"
   Kate nods.
.....
"I don't understand the purpose."
She just stares at me.
.....
"Its no more time than it would take for me to try her," Kate says. "So if you say no, it's just because the idea insults you."
Which is how we end up racing.         [- Sean from The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater]

- "You look in fine spirits."
"Do I?"
"Well, your face remembers a smile," Holly says. He looks down at my clothing; I'm wearing the island all over my left side.
I kick on the hose pump with my knee and begin to rinse the bucket over top the drain. "I lost a horse today."
"That sounds careless. What happened?"
"She jumped off a cliff."               [- Sean]

- Finn flicks on the headlights as Jonathan keeps chattering at him. Night's coming fast under the thin gauze of clouds. Something smells of burning. I hope its not the Morris.
......
Meanwhile, Jonathan Carroll keeps up a running commentary with himself. He only needs to see Finn's head incline slightly to encourage him to start up again. I'm not sure Finn's even nodding his head; I think it's just the pits in the road.
......
Finn looks amused at the "Kate," probably because when Brian says it, it sounds like I'm more responsible than I  really am.      [- Puck]

-....."Does anyone ask you why you stay, Sean Kendrick?"
"They do."
"And why do you?"
"The sky and the sand and the sea and Corr."      [- Puck and Sean]
