Hi, Welcome To My Blog!

We lose ourselves in books, we find ourselves there too.

God made the horse from the breath of the wind, the beauty of the earth, and the soul of an angel.

The Unexpected Nightmare

Okay, so in English we had to pick this scene starter thing and finish it. Well, when I write I sometimes tend to get carried away.  Anyways the scene ended up into a very creepy short story. I think I did pretty good for only spending a little bit on it and for it being my first story. I know if I would have taken more time it could be better, but I hope you like it. With the help of my two friends and partners in the project, we ended up with this.....

P.S. please don't copy or steal my work

The Unexpected Nightmare

***Oliver***
Jerry climbed into the car and Oliver pulled away from the Juvenile Detention Center. “Hey man, I’m so glad to be out of that miserable place that I almost love the sight of this ugly little car. Forgot you still had it.” Jerry says cheerfully. Oliver nodded but didn’t say anything. An uneasy silence fell over them and an awkward tension emanated from Oliver. He was silent and moody the whole drive home, thinking about what he would have to do. They reached their town, but Oliver drove past Jerry’s street.
“Wait, where are you going, man? My house is back there,” Jerry asks.
“I have to go see Raven for something first,” he replied slowly.
“Oh, yah. How is Raven by the way?” Jerry says offhandedly, like he had just remembered she still existed. Raven was his girlfriend, but Jerry had forgotten her! Oliver was outraged, but carefully kept it from showing.
He couldn’t form the words to reply for several minutes, but then choked out, “She’s dead. Raven’s dead. Kaci killed her.”
“What!” Jerry yells. The car swerves as Oliver flinches. Oliver quickly pulled into the church parking lot. They stumbled out of the car and raced into the church up to the coffin by the alter. Bruises surrounded Raven’s neck and tons of flowers lay beside her. Upon seeing her, Jerry collapsed to the floor moaning “No!” over and over again while tears rained down.
Oliver stayed back and watched silently, shaking with hidden anger. His eyes blurred from the tears rolling down his cheeks and dripping onto the carpet. He made up his mind; he knew what he had to do.

***Jerry***

Two months later...
To Jerry it felt like he had lost both of friends, not just one. Ever since they went to the church, Oliver had been detached and depressed, like he was just floating along. So when Oliver suggested a camping trip, Jerry quickly agreed and began packing right away. He hoped his friend was snapping out of it and moving on.
Jerry had been wanting to know what had happened, but Oliver wouldn’t talk about it. It had been an unusual surprise when Oliver told him he would explain everything before going silent again the rest of the way to the campgrounds.
The campsite was dark and deserted when they finally got there. They parked in a spot along the swift, murky river. Oliver offered to get out the tent and walked around the car to the trunk. Jerry turned to study the river when behind him, Oliver nonchalantly says, “It’s your fault, you know.”
“Huh? What’s my fault?” Jerry turns confused. Oliver has one hand on the trunk lid, while the other disappears inside.
Oliver’s head snaps up, his eyes glowing maliciously. “It’s your fault!” he screams, “Raven is dead because of you!”
“Come down, Oliver! What are you talking about? I didn’t do it! Kaci did it! They even convicted him for it, earlier you said so yourself!” Jerry backed away slowly, but he wasn’t paying attention and stepped out onto a ledge that jutted out over the river. Fear and dread shot through him, there was no escape. He was trapped. One quick glance told him he would never survive the fall into the furious river below.
Oliver slowly advanced with the axe that he had taken out of the trunk. “I loved her, but you got her killed! You didn’t deserve Raven!”
“You don’t want to do this, please! I don’t understand!” Jerry cried. He screamed for help several times, but knew it was no use. The camp was empty and no one was around for miles. Oliver didn’t waver; he just kept coming slowly but hauntingly closer.
“Yes, I do and I promised to explain it all, and I’ll even show you how you die.” Oliver whispered menacingly, “Kaci attacked you that day with the knife because you stole Raven from him. And the day, the day before you’re sentence was shortened, she confronted him. They fought because of you, and he killed her!” Oliver yelled, “I loved her, but you killed her; so now you’re going to pay!”
“No! Please no! I didn’t do anything!” Jerry pleaded and begged, tears running down his face; legs threatening to give way beneath him. His hands were in the air above him as if trying to ward off the impending blow.
The last thing he saw was the axe being raised and then begin its downward descent.

***Oliver***

Oliver finished chopping the body up and threw the pieces into the murky water beside him. He watched as the fish bit at the sinking flesh. Oliver washed his hands after changing into clean clothes and tossing the shredded, blood-stained ones into the rushing river.
He walked back to the car to start a fire and roast some marshmallows. The night calmed again and peace settled over the camp as the bugs’ resumed buzzing after the blood-curdling screams faded away.

Aerobics and Insanity

So I am taking aerobics as my P.E. class in school and this week we are doing another insanity week (we did one a few months ago also) and something called the 30 Day Squat Challenge.

Insanity Week
Have you ever seen those T.V. ads for a video called something Insanity. Well whether you have or have not that's what we are doing for an ENTIRE week. Let me tell you, there is a reason why its called insanity. It's extremely hard and miserable while you are doing it, but it works well if you try to do it right. I feel great a few hours after the work out and it really works. Our class did an experiment with it. We measured ourselves the Friday before insanity week and the Monday after, everyone lost several inches; and we only did the work out for four days and for less than a class period. So it really would work for you, if you did it.

30 Day Squat Challenge
We are also doing the 30 Day Squat Challenge. In the challenge you have to do so many squats per day through out the whole day. You don't have to do them all at once, just make sure you get them all in. Every fourth day is a rest day where you don't have to do any, or you can make up squats that you may have missed. I'm currently on day 16. The amount of squats you have to do each day is below:

I'm Back

Hey! Sorry i haven't written or posted anything in like forever, but I have been kind of busy. I'll try to keep posting now.

So recently I started riding my sisters reiner Toby. She used to ride him last year, but switched to Rio because she wants to go to Quarter Horse World. Me and Toby have been working together to try and figure each other out. He's soooo different form riding my buddy Smokey (in a good way), but we are doing really great. I hope to be able to kick butt on him, but that might not very likely because he still gets very nervous and excited in shows.(thanks to a mean trainer when he was younger) But we have only been to two shows, both where he was really sore. I think we can figure this out, but it will take a while. If I don't win anything or do bad in shows, I won't mind very much cuz #1 it isn't really Tobe's fault and #2 I just love riding him. Right now I can't ride him because his knee is inflamed (cause of soreness), but in a month and after we take him to a vet to check that he's healed we will be back working together.

I have to thank my awesome trainer and my sister. Without them we would not be as good as we are. Although my sister and I usually get grouchy at each other when she is trying to give me lessons me, she has helped me a ton.

Wish me and Toby Luck! Later!

Graduation Parties

My sister's graduation party is coming tomorrow so we've been getting ready, buying decorations, and making food this week (and you can add last week too). My sister originally started with a pink and green theme, but it turned into a pink and green beach theme when we found a ton of pink and green beach stuff at the dollar tree. I did not know how it was possible to spend 80 some dollars at the dollar tree, but we did. (Dad only thinks we spent half of that, so shhh. (=  ) We bought a LOT of stuff but it looks really cool.
I've been helping my grandma with a lot of the food making. Yummy. My cousins from Denver arrived yesterday.  I haven't seen them in four years so that was really fun. Her party is going to be at a new horse barn that was built. The owners have a kind of house thing with it that you can rent for graduation parties. Its kind of hard to find the place though because its behind a row of trees. My mom and dad rented a bouncy house for the little kids.
A few of my cousins and me have hatched a surprise for my sister. It involves a song that we all sang when we were camping and stuff.  It will be fun to see what happens. Some of the adults will probably think we're a little crazy. =)   I can't wait until my sister's graduation party, it will be a lot of fun.

A Blank Check

http://www.sageapple.org/donate.html
If I were given a blank check to spend on five things that would improve our school, I would

- Make Our School Lunches Better (because they taste terrible.)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:USDA_Food_Pyramid.gif
- Get Better Air Conditioners And Furnaces (because they never work when their supposed to and you end up freezing in the winter and roasting in the summer)

- Fix Water Fountains (they have no water pressure so you cant drink out of them)

- Improve The Computers And Update Microsoft (because our computers are really slow, I forgot exactly why their slow; and our Microsoft powerpoint, documents, etc. needs updated so they have the better and improved things.)

book-review-scorpio-races-maggie-stiefvater/
- Add A Lot More Fiction Books To The Library (we used to have a ton of books, now we hardly have any)

Those are a few things I would spend the money on. What if you had a blank check? What would you spend it on to improve your school?

Golden Retrievers

http://www.funnyfunnypictures.net/golden-retriever-pics-865.htm
If I could be a dog, I would want to be a golden retriever.

  • Golden Retrievers are:
  • Friendly and fun
  • Lively and energetic
  • Loyal and obedient
  • Easily trained
  • Eager to please
They also love challenges and tasks and they learn quickly, which is like me. I also want to please my parents and teachers. I think if I were a dog I would be a golden retriever. We currently have two part golden retrievers (Jet and Dolly). And we used to have a pure golden retriever called Coven. I love golden retrievers. They are my absolute favorite breed of dog. I think I would be a good golden retriever.

You can go to this website for some more on golden retrievers. (Of course there are more websites with more information on retrievers, but this one is a nice short and sweet summary.)
